In the experimentation on audio-visual class, I was instigated to invent more things with my capabilities of drawing, so I invested time and energy learning a little about animation, and this project was born from this. On this subject I cooperated with my friend and classmate Abraham Almeida and we made the whole animation using mixed elements, like a paper ball that we captured on a lot of different angles, a mountain png that is used to make different perspectives using the same picture, and the character itself that was entirely animated by me.
The story is about Sisifus, the old king who was cursed to lift a stone upon a mountain, but when he gets to the top, the stone goes back to it's initial position and he need to do it again and again. The animation focused on representing the king at his most sensitive moment, when he realizes that his effort and work are vain.
But besides all that pain that he carries, he must go on because is the only thing that rest to him. Inside the Albert Camus philosophy of absurdism - where he uses Sisifus as an example of his ideas, this animation capture the essence of humanity: keeping on.
